The VERTICAL ARMY opens the exhibition: a parade of identical mannequins is arranged over three levels, as if they were clones or replicants. All wearing the Pure Metal Shell - Silver, the legendary 100% stainless steel parka, exhibited in 2000 at the Centre Pompidou. A reference to the world of military uniforms, which Stone Island often calls upon for their constructive and functional details. On this metal army, a selection of images and sounds of the final game of Spain ’82 is projected in memory of a very important event for Italy which in 1982, the year of the birth of Stone Island, won the FIFA World Cup. After the vestibule, walking through a total white space, the visitor enters the 10 exhibition rooms.
