Lightweight Habotai silk laminated on the outer face to a sheer, shiny and transparent, fine-grained polyurethane film. Like human skin, silk fibres are made of proteins that absorb up to 50% of water vapour, reducing any feeling of dampness. Furthermore, silk is one of the fibres with the best colour absorption when garment dyed. Apart from making the fabric water resistant and windproof, the shiny, fine-grained polyurethane film reflects light, enhances the colour effects and bestows the surface with a “liquid,” three-dimensional appearance.
